Cancer information centers include medical centers, universities, charitable organizations, research centers, smoking cessation programs, prention programs, and prosthetic device providers.
The US government provides an excellent research site through the National Institute of Health at www.cancer.gov. Also the American Cancer Society provides statistics and information for both the public and medical professionals at www.cancer.org.
Great strides are being made against cancer. Lifestyle and environmental changes, along with early detection, remain the best protection against most cancers.
