Occupational safety and health professionals include professionals from different specialties. In general, they protect the safety and welfare of employees, the community and public. Workplace health and safety is enforced by OSHA, Occupational Safety & Health Administration, a division of the US Department of Labor. States also have similar enforcement agencies.
Record keeping and data storage are important features of occupational safety officials in the workplace. In addition, physical rehabilitation and vocational/occupational rehabilitation services may be considered part of the category, as well as home health services and some charitable organizations.
