Surgery includes many specialties such as plastic and cosmetic, orthopedic, weight loss, neurosurgery, cardiothoracic, cancer, podiatry, ear, nose and throat, urology, vision, obstetrics and gynecology and gastroenterology. General surgery, despite its name, deals with internal organs of the abdominal cavity.
